Niamh Banks
Owner and creative director
Niamh Banks designs and realises spaces, builds and commercialises brands and collections. She brings together creativity and industry expertise across a range of disciplines. Fusing elements of the gallery, home and store, she creates innovative retail spaces as platforms for modern and progressive designs.
She consults, helping companies actualise and merchandise their brands, and provides bespoke industry advice on bringing products to market for designers.
Niamh began her career at luxury lifestyle brand AVOCA. She made her name in retail as project manager for the design, build and launch of several stores including Ireland’s largest and most successful lifestyle retail store in Rathcoole. She also worked as International Sales and Marketing manager for the export and wholesale of AVOCA’s fashion lines and homeware brand. She has worked on strategic partnerships with retailers John Lewis, Urban Outfitters Group and Selfridges.
Seven Wood, which launched 2015, encompasses experiential retail spaces that showcase storied independent brands, including exclusive and extensive mid century furniture pieces from renowned Scandanavian designers such as Hans Wegner, Grete Jalk and Borge Mogensen. Driven by a passion for thoughtful and lasting modern designs and connecting people to products that celebrate craftsmanship over transient trends.
